Canterbury Cathedral

It has become a bit of a pilgrimage to visit Canterbury Cathedral. The Nave, including the West End is undergoing an extensive renovation. That has not stopped the hoards of visitors or the concerts that are happening. Actually with a false ceiling the Nave acoustics seem better for a concert. Early next year they will have completed installing a new organ. In the grounds of the cathedral is a remarkable piece of wood piece sculpture of a horse that has been put together by the King’s School art department and local art groups. It is to commemorate the eight million horses that died in WWI. I also regularly visit the memorial garden where our mother’s ashes were buried. The East end of the Cathedral looked spectacular since it was completely renovated a few years ago.
